Paris – 8 March 2017 – VISEO, a global IT consulting firm specialised in assisting clients in their IT and digital transformation, announces the signature of its first global strategic partnership with Singapore-based IoT-dedicated network operator UnaBiz. The partnership seeks to develop IoT applications of smart buttons powered by Sigfox, the world’s leading provider of global IoT connectivity.
This partnership came upon the launch of the pay-per-use smart button, also known as button-as-a-service, on February 29th 2017, at the Barcelona Mobile World Congress – the world’s biggest showcase for wireless technology and mobile devices.
A brainchild of UnaBiz, the innovative connected button enables instant order of good and services at the push of a button. It aims to simplify and transform the entire consumer purchase and transaction journey, thereby the distribution of staple goods and services in the near future. The connected button will be made available to companies this year, from a subscription charge of only 1€ per month, per device.
The goal of this strategic partnership is to bring hundreds of thousands of connected buttons to the market, giving businesses from all verticals access to the UnaBiz hardware and cloud, Sigfox connectivity service, as well as VISEO’s tailored solutions. As we write, the Asia-based team of VISEO has already begun working on the first commercial versions of these connected buttons.
2017, year of the connected button
“The success of the connected button relies solely on our capacity to offer each client a personalised offer. Whether the service is a taxi booking, a call-back request or a package withdrawal, VISEO will bring its expertise as an integrator and digital advisor to the partnership. We are convinced the alliance between UnaBiz, Sigfox and VISEO will accelerate the adoption of this game-changing business model,” explains Henri Bong, CEO and founder of UnaBiz.
“We are glad to see our partners leveraging Sigfox out-of-the-box connectivity to create new innovative services at the lowest cost, explains Ludovic Le Moan, CEO and co-founder of Sigfox. The UnaBiz connected button is a perfectly illustrates the competitive advantages of Sigfox connectivity: a very long battery life and an intuitive user experience. As soon as the button will be running, it will be connected to the Sigfox network, without requiring any configuration. 2017 is the year of connected buttons!”
For Olivier Dhonte, CEO and Founder of VISEO, “This strategic partnership gives us on the first hand, a unique chance to speed up our international development, as one of top our priorities in the next few years is to make 20% of our revenues abroad by 2020. On the other hand, it makes us more relevant to our clients in the IoT field, from consultation to production of a useful innovation: a scalable innovation that impacts our clients’ business and uses.”
