SKILLSFUTURE SERIES FOR ADVANCED MANUFACTURING

 

Course Objectives

Participants will acquire knowledge on Internet of Things remote sensors deployment by using Sigfox communication network. Participants will be able to perform remote sensor deployment for their own usage. Training is conducted through hands-on practice and project work.

Course Content

• Introduction to Internet of Things remote sensors deployment by using Sigfox communication network.

• Selecting suitable sensor for interfacing with IoT microcontroller.

• Programming the IoT microcontroller microcontroller to send sensor data to Sigfox cloud.

• Configuring Cloud for sensor data receiving, alert rules generation and email alert.

Entry Requirement / Course Advisory

This is an introductory course for learners who are new to the subject. No prior knowledge is required.Participants should preferably have language proficiency at Workplace Literacy & Numeracy (WPLN) Level 5 in Speaking and Listening, and Level 4 in Reading and Numeracy.
